Privacy Policy

The short version

There are no user accounts here and nothing to sign up for. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits, a cookie to remember that you passed the age check, and a session cookie for download passwords. If you email me about a commission, I keep that email to do the work. I don't sell or share your information for advertising. The Condor PMV Maker app works on your own computer and doesn't send your files anywhere.

This policy covers condorpmv.com (the “site”), commissions, and the Condor PMV Maker desktop app. It's run by [legal name or business name] (“Condor PMV”, “I”, “me”), who is responsible for your information. See also the Terms of Service.

1. What I collect

When you browse the site

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4. It records things like the pages you visit, how you got here, your approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser type, and how long you stay. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store full IP addresses. I only see aggregated reports, not who you are.
Server logs. Like almost every website, the hosting provider (Namecheap) automatically keeps standard web server logs — IP address, the time, the page or file requested, and browser details — for security and troubleshooting.
Age confirmation. When you confirm you're 18 or older, your browser stores a cookie so you're not asked on every visit. It holds only “yes”, not your age or anything about you.
Download passwords. When you enter a password for a locked download, the server remembers for the rest of your browser session that it's been unlocked, and counts wrong attempts to stop guessing. The password you type isn't stored.

When you contact me or commission a PMV

Your email address and whatever you write, plus any files, links or preferences you send for the commission.
Payment confirmation details from the payment method you choose (for example the name or handle shown on a PayPal, Cash App or Venmo payment, or a crypto wallet address). I never see or store card numbers.
I don't ask for your real name, and you don't need to give it.

When you use Patreon

Patreon memberships are handled entirely by Patreon. I can see what Patreon shows creators (such as your Patreon display name, email and membership tier) under Patreon's privacy policy.

2. Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the site's own cookies means you'll see the age check every visit and need to re-enter download passwords. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, you can use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

3. How I use it

to run the site, deliver downloads and keep it secure (for example, stopping password guessing and abuse);
to understand which releases and pages people visit, so I can make more of what people like;
to make, deliver and support commissions, and to confirm payments;
to reply to your messages and handle takedown requests;
to meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records.

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, the legal bases are: performing a commission you asked for; my legitimate interest in running and securing the site and understanding how it's used; your consent where it's required; and legal obligations.

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it for advertising. It's only handled by:

Google — analytics (Google Analytics) and email (commission emails arrive at a Gmail address);
Namecheap — website hosting and server logs;
the payment service you choose — PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, or a public blockchain for crypto payments (crypto transactions are public and permanent by design);
Patreon — memberships, if you join;
authorities — only if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or rights.

These providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Each handles it under its own privacy policy.

5. How long I keep it

Analytics: Google Analytics keeps event data for [2 / 14] months (the retention setting on the account).
Server logs: kept by the host according to its own schedule.
Commission emails and files: [e.g. files you send are deleted within 30 days of delivery; emails are kept for 12 months]. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Cookies: as shown in the table above.
App licences: while the licence is in use, and for [e.g. 90 days] after it is signed out or the membership ends.

6. Condor PMV Maker (the desktop app)

The app runs on your own computer. Your clips, music, tags, settings and exports stay on your machine — they are never uploaded to me or anyone else, and the app has no analytics, tracking or telemetry.

Apart from signing in (below), the only time it goes online on its own is the first time you use one of its optional AI features (theme search, Slicer or auto-tag): it then downloads a publicly available AI model from Hugging Face, which can see the ordinary details of that download (such as your IP address). After that, the AI features work offline. Your media is analysed locally and never sent to Hugging Face.

Signing in with Patreon

The Patreon edition of the app asks you to sign in with Patreon so it can confirm you're a member on the required tier. When you sign in, Patreon tells condorpmv.com your Patreon user ID and your membership status and tier — not your password or payment details. To keep the app working, the site stores:

your Patreon user ID and tier name;
a Patreon access token (encrypted), used only to re-check your membership about twice a day while you use the app;
a one-way code derived from your PC's Windows ID (not the ID itself), so a licence works only on the PCs you signed in on;
when each PC last checked in.

While signed in, the app contacts condorpmv.com to renew its licence; those requests carry nothing about your clips or projects. You can sign out from the app at any time, and revoke the app's access to your Patreon account in Patreon's settings.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it — just email CondorPMV@gmail.com. Because there are no accounts, I may need a detail from you (such as the email address you wrote from) to find it. I'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have more rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. I don't sell or “share” personal information as California law defines it.

8. Security

The site runs over HTTPS, download passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access to the site's admin area is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but I work to keep what I hold safe and to keep as little as possible.

9. Adults only

The site and services are only for adults (18+). I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, I'll make it noticeable on the site.
